First look on the pedalbox

Here you can see the first version of the pedal box with AP-R master cylinders and a Tilton Racing balance bar. The clutch is basically needed only on launch, so it could also be operated by hand, but we’ll see if we can fit it nicely in with the other pedals. The pedal box will most likely be welded from steel sheet, and the pedals will be water cut from either aluminium or steel. We’ll still need to do some FEM analyses to optimize the pedal geometry and ensure that the whole construction will be strong enough. The rules state that you must be able to subject the brake pedal to 2000 Newtons of force without anything breaking. Wouldn’t be nice to snap your brake pedal in half while cornering.
